Description
The PD2E1-Y3/2D21-24E13A solenoid valve is a 24VDC version of the widely-used PD2E1 series hydraulic pilot valves, specifically configured with a 24E13A coil assembly for 24V electrical systems commonly found in midi and large-frame excavators. This solenoid valve is installed in the pilot hydraulic circuit of the excavator’s main control valve block, where it acts as an electro-hydraulic interface between the machine’s electronic control system and its hydraulic actuators. When the operator moves a control lever, an electrical signal is sent to the coil, which energizes and shifts the valve spool to route pilot pressure to the corresponding main valve port, thereby controlling the direction and speed of boom, arm, bucket, swing, or travel functions. The PD2E1-Y3/2D21-24E13A features a two-position, two-way spool design with spring return to the neutral position when de-energized. The cartridge design enables installation in SAE cartridge cavities Type 2, providing a leak-tight seal without additional O-rings or retainers. With a maximum pressure rating of 31.5 MPa and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C, this valve is engineered to deliver consistent performance in extreme hot and cold conditions encountered in construction, mining, and quarrying environments worldwide.
